This course is structured to provide the essential knowledge and skills required to participate in an aviation accident or incident investigation. It will enable the students to fully understand an investigation process and the roles of the expert board members, ùby providing an up-to-date training on international regulations (ICAO Annex 13), preliminary measures, investigation of events and causes , technique for interviewing witnesses and writing of a final report.

Compliance Monitoring is not just a technique, but a working philosophy aimed at the independent confirmation that a process/document is being undertaken in accordance to specified requirements and effectively performed in the provision of required outputs. This course is an auditor training course for aviation industry professionals having an auditing role, either in a management or in an officer position.

Safety is the number one priority in the aviation industry. For this reason, an effective SMS (Safety Management System) is paramount in any Organization. Recognizing that the final structure of the safety element will reflect the culture of the Organization, a FSO (Flight Safety Officer) is needed to report directly to the Wing Commander (military organizations) or Accountable Manager (civilian organizations) and be empowered to positively effect safety integration throughout the Organization.

In modern complex organizations, process monitoring programs can provide much more than simple identifications of nonconformities and the role of the auditor definitely covers a central position in the control and in the continuous improvement of strategic plans and tactical actions. This course provides an initial analysis of the current legislation and of the quality standards (ISO), followed by an extensive auditor training, including theories, case studies, activities, on-job-training (OJT).

The decision to design and implement a quality system is strategic and requires considerable investments in money, time, and human resources, influencing the organizational lifecycle in the medium and long term. It will therefore be the top management to initially take all the necessary decisions for the creation of the system: a critical step for the preparation of the methodologies and the tools that will translate business strategies into operating actions.

European legislation requires operators to adopt a Management System that integrates a Safety Management System. Knowledge of the elements of the SMS is therefore the starting point for ensuring its integration into airport processes and procedures. Safety Policy, objectives, safety performance indicators, hazard identification and risk assessments are all elements that must be structured and harmonized to ensure their effectiveness as well as regulatory compliance.
